Churchill Navigation is developing the next generation of airborne mission equipment — our augmented reality products are used throughout the world in helicopters, airplanes, and UAVs for assisting first responders, monitoring wildlife and the environment, enhancing broadcast television, and much more. As an engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to fly with our customers, and also in our Cessna Grand Caravan, to validate the real-world performance of your projects.

You’ll be joining a team focusing on high-end airborne video acquisition and processing systems. We are looking for a talented, motivated Senior Engineer with at least 5 years of experience developing electrical and mechanical systems and associated software. If you like learning new things, working on interesting projects while wearing many hats, and building tangible, end-user physical devices then this opportunity is a good fit for you.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high quality, innovative and cost appropriate engineering and product concepts
  • Help bring an idea from concept to a product
  • Design, implement and debug software, firmware, digital and analog circuitry
  • Integrate between software, firmware and hardware components

 

Required skills and experience

  • Strong background of programming in modern C/C++ and object-oriented design
  • Experience interfacing with sensors and cameras
  • Skilled in embedded firmware development and debugging
  • Soldering skills and hands-on experience with lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies)

Compensation:

Annual salary for this position is $80K – $130K depending on experience. In addition, we offer a robust package of benefits that include health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
